Respected members, on our 61st Annual Day, as I stand here, my mind goes back to the year I joined this profession and became a life member of our society. I never imagined that one day I would be addressing this society as its President.
What I have earned today is far more valuable than money — the trust and respect of colleagues who chose me to lead. I remain grateful to my mentors, my colleagues in practice, and to my patients, from whom I have learnt the most.
This year, I want to address a subject close to all of us, yet often unspoken — the wellbeing of the caregiver. We work tirelessly for our patients, but who cares for the health of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff?
